Hey all,

This is about Spike.... again.

So he calmed down from Wednesday, slept that night. Thursday night he didn't get his wheel, but he did poop and eat and drink normally. Last night, I gave the wheel back and he didn't wheel. I'm not sure how much he ate. So tonight, I weighed his water and food. It's 2 am and he hasn't come out on his own. I took him out and he ate and drank some, but not much. He hasn't pooped yet. I don't know if I should be concerned yet, since he had a very traumatic day. But that was 3 days ago now.

If there's no poop tomorrow, I'm gonna take him to the vet, but does anyone have any ideas? He's not hibernating... he feels warm and he's got a heat lamp on him.

Well, I got him to eat about 30-40 kibbles last night, a little less than a tablespoon. He took some mealies from me. And drank 25 mL of water.

I got a small bit of poop out of him last night and well, I can't tell if he peed much, but he left me some of his "boy stuff" on the towel.

He still won't wake up and do things on his own, but he hung out with me for about an hour last night and didn't act lethargic or anything.

Maybe he's just taking it easy for a bit?

As usual, there's nothing wrong with him.

I did all this posting before work and came home just now to a big pile of hedgie poop. Never been happier to see poop before... but I was soooo ecstatic that he was back to normal functions that I called my boyfriend to tell him. He asked me if I seriously called him to inform him that Spike took a crap. The answer was yes... I may not have a boyfriend tomorrow... lol.

But yeah, Spike's fine. I overreacted as usual, but at least I didn't run him to the vet only to pay $150 for tests and stuff only to have him poop on the way home.

Poop's normal... he ate half a tablespoon of food already... but it's still early in the evening for him. I'll play with him later and give him some mealies.
