I've recently put a beige v/c male with a dark ebony v/c female. According to the calculator, I could get light and dark tan violets, along with light and dark tans and light and dark tans v/c.
Is there a phsyical way to distinguish the light and dark tan violets from the others?
I've not seen any pictures on the for sale threads.

The only way I have really seen a difference was under the show lights. Can I ask why not use a standard V/C in the breeding?

Having problems finding a good one, locally! And I've none in the herd that aren't related, somehow! Got this pair at the nationals and just recently put them together!
Open for trades if you've got one!

I can't explain how you can tell...but you can tell a beige or tan violet from a beige or tan. I can anyway I have seen a few of them, they are not really what you would call beige, and very uniform color. I guess you will have to wait and post pics so we can help!

Once they hit 6-12 months hold them next to a regular beige under the lights, you'll be able to tell. Problem with tans is they change colors until around 12, keeps you guessing.
