Today I noticed that my little spoiled momma's boy( Roo) teeffies aren't as orange as they should be.Needless to say he is the one who will only eat PRCS,applewood only if it is a hanging piece, and only small amts of orchard grass hay.He gets his crushed rose hips and Lifeline every other day ,but I think he would benefit from calcium. I have some of the TUMS ULTRA(calcium carbonate 1000mg per tab).Would it be appropriate to try him with 1/4 tablet every day for a week?Or what else would be recommended. He is extremely fussy about his foods and treats but no signs of malo(no pawing ,drooling,wt is steady,no bump under jaw, etc). He is a small chin but very active and healthy.

When I supplement CA I use a powder which I will mix into LL or CC and syringe feed. I use a product like this http://www.amazon.com/Rep-Cal-Calcium-Vitamin-Ultrafine-Powder/dp/B00076HTQA the one I have has no flavor so you could mix it in the the pellets. Make sure you are not feeding any grains with a calcium deficiant chin. Tums is not a great choice since it has aspartame which has its own set of issues and in order for calcium to be absorbed and utilized, it actually needs a slightly acidic environment so since tums is a antacid it does not work well.
