I have a cage with quarter inch bar spacing that's 3 feet high and I'm trying to get it ready for the kit I'm getting. He'll be about twelve weeks when I get him. Can he have ledges and do they have to be low to the ground since he's young or can he have regular height things? My other chins are a year old and jump like crazy so I didn't have to worry about them. I'm getting a hammock to put in the middle so it won't be that steep of a fall. Just wondering if I had to do anything else special.

It all sounds good to me! They learn to jump early, and once they get used to the cage, will be bouncing around!
It's fun to watch the first few hours - -

You can have ledges at any level. Just make sure you have hammocks in various areas of the cage. Kits get to zooming and they are very clumsy. I'm being entertained by one right now that figured out he can wall surf and let go to flop into the hammock.

Also, make sure the bar spacing is no more than 1" by 1/2" as a twelve week old kit can still escape from super pet spacing in a cage.

Thanks for the input guys! Looking forward to seeing the wall surfing action

Im sure Atlas is going to love the cage! Def make sure there are plenty of levels so he doesn't have too far to fall if he misses one!
