Cage Bottom Help!

I ordered a cage online with wire sides except the bottom is a grate style with a pulll out pan on the bottom. I know I need to create some sort of bottom to put over the grate and i'm not sure if I should use mesh or wood for it! Or where to get it from. Please help. Thanks

My cage is like that, ive just convinced my dad to make me a metal pull out tray and im going to take out the grate. The pull out tray at the moment is plastic so i wont let them run around on that incase they eat it. I wonder if you could take away the grate and cover the tray in fleece so they cant get to it.

I'm not sure if it was you that we were talking to in chat but I believe it was mentioned to use or make a fleece liner for the bottom of the cage until you could figure out how to modify it.
