2 year old male chin will go to the corner of is cage and grab a bar in his mouth and sit there for 5+ minutes. it sits towards the back of his mouth like hes pushing it back towards the corners of his mouth. what does this mean?

Honestly sometimes they just rest that way. It is really bizarre and none of us can imagine it being comfortable but they like it. It must be the cold bar in their mouth or something. Also, sometimes when they want out or want attention.

thanks for the response. its usually only when we let him out to play, we leave the door open at the bottom so that he can get back in to eat get a drink or pee. he will go back in and smash his face in the corner for 5 mins then come right back out to play.

;)The bars is their nookie. My chins does i for attention, but sometimes it freaks me out when I see them hanging just by their teeth. That's my que to poke them to make sure they are still alive.

I call it Shelly's pacifier. She lays on her side and holds the bar in her mouth. Silly girl will sleep that way for hours.

Oh how cute! I love it when they are on their sides sleeping, of course I still have to poke them to make sure they are alive each time

None of your pics have a chin with a bar in the back of their mouth, so I doubt that's what the OP was referring to. Do you read before you type? You should consider trying it.

I still find it relevant.

I don't poke. I just stand very still, stare at Shell, when I see her ribcage move up and down I walk away. This way I don't wake the princess up. It's not wise to wake her.

Gzifa says, "quite right too. Humans should not wake their furry master/mistress" ;)

HAHA @godofgods my chins squish themselves into corners too. So bizarre
