So...my boyfriend and I have been together for about 3 1/2 years now. I recently moved with him 150 miles north of where I've grown up in Southern California. We live in the desert now and he promised me a chin building(see why I moved with him??) AND said I can possibly have more buildings as time goes on! Anyhow...we moved here in October/November and since he had short notice of the time he needed to move here for his job, we moved into the first available place that would allow animals. Unfortunately it is a two bedroom apartment that is only about 900sqft total...so it is small. My 60+ chinnies(the number has grown since we moved) have the second bedroom and there is just nowhere to store anything. Tyson(boyfriend) decided he wanted to see about buying a house. He's a disabled veteran so with a veteran's loan we can get a house with no down payment and without paying closing costs. So the money we would need to get a place was minimal. We had a realtor start showing us around and after putting in a couple offers on other houses and losing them to other bids...a house popped up on the market that looked perfect! For starters it was owned by the VA...3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a HUGE bonus room in the back and a large backyard with plenty of space for a chinchilla building. The house it a total of 1700sqft inside so we'll have a good amount of room. There's a few things that need changed/renovated but his dad built houses for over 40yrs so we have help, lol! Anyhow...that was over a month ago now and I'm posting because Tyson signed the final papers today! I am incredibly nervous and excited and we should have our first house by Wed!
