Come on in and see a window into my life!

The bf and I rarely leave the bedroom, his computer is right next to the bed and the laptop sits on the floor next to my side of the bed. He has been thinking of moving the tv down stairs, in which point I can actually get the frick out bed!!! ( I normally don't because everything is upstairs except the chins)

My question is this: I use pillows for back support and it doesn't really help, I've been having some back pains lately, so I've been soaking in the tub or something, and trying to do small walks. Rich has a rather large turtle that provides amazing back support, while I have a pillowpet that did the same for about a week. What can I do for back support?

when on my computer in bed, i have one of those pillows that has arm rests. you can get them at walmart. you should invest in one of those, and a neck roll pillow :)

Thank you very much, Emily! I shall defiantly try my best and get one :D

Have you tried wearing a corset?
Not a Victoria's Secret or Fredrick's one but a real corset? They work wonders once you get used to them

thought they broke ribs, and would that really work in a bed situation?

Yikes, this sounds a little depressing to me. Sorry! I'm thinking all of the laying in bed is giving you the back pain. I would try "unplugging" for a week and getting active, outside!

if you cinch them so tight you are trying to get a size 12 in a size 4 dress yes they can break ribs. Normal use they do not hurt but actually help. I wear one when my back is hurting me or when I shoot archery etc. The key is to get one custom made for your body so it fits right ;)

Oh very cool!!!

momenteller, I can't "unplug" but I do want to try and get more active... just a matter of actually doing it. I do walk to the mall that's about four or so blocks away and walk around it, but for some reason my back says "no!!"

i agree with kate here. ever since i graduated, ive been lazying around all the time. it started getting really depressing and i felt more sluggish and it hurt my back a bit. i got a "dish chair" from target for $20 and it feels LOADS more comfortable.

but to be honest, the only thing that will really help the discomfort is to get active. change locations, go for daily walks. actually make time for activity. why do you say you cant unplug?

I agree with Luci and Kate. You are too young to have these kinds of problems. Get active. Go for a daily walk. Even 20 minutes is better than nothing. You need to get out of bed. Our bodies were not designed to be laying on your back all day. Why can't you unplug? If you don't get moving now you will have bigger problems and pain as you get older.

I can't unplug because i do have some work that i do on the computer for my friend (she runs a clinic and I'm her assistant) since I don't have a job at the moment, i've exhausted every place, and I don't have a car. Plus, I'm in the process of writing a book, so that's all done on the computer. However, here at the townhomes they do have a gym, i just need the motivation to actually step foot in there. Sorry that it sounds like I'm making excuses, which i probably am. I moved in with my bf who works during the day and my stupid step sister won't come see me, so i've been trying to find things to keep myself busy. Not much I can do really, but i've been trying my best.
