I have among my pile of back up bottles, an Edstrom that I like but was always nervous about using long term because of the zinc in it. So since a bunch of people use them, I thought I would try it out as my usual superpet just gets worse and worse.

In this thread, I broke the edstrom. I loosened the nut that stays on the plastic and attaches to the valve and brass mouth. I have no idea if I can tighten it back. Now the water just leaks out the hole in the plastic where the whole nozzle apparatus is. I've attached a picture of the part that is loose and now when I screw the valve back on it just spins freely. I hope some of this made sense to someone...
Has anyone dealt with this or know if it's fixable? Thanks.

I know you can buy parts for the Edstrom bottles. I'm at work so I can't look up the link but I know I've bought parts for them. Google around and see what you can find. I do believe that is fixable. I have stocked up on Edstroms since I think they are becoming hard to find.

I also stocked up on the Edstrom bottles. I did purchased the 8 oz bottles from the Ryerson back in March.

Thank you!! I think I'd be better off just buying a new bottle, the piece I need replaced isn't the actual valve and I have NO idea how to get it off or put a new one on.

About 2/3 down that link, is that a glass Nivek bottle with the valve system?? It's small, but if it's glass I would totally buy that. I can't find anything about it online, though.

Ok, so I literally cannot find any company website or any other supplier that sells that water bottle. It's kind of sketching me out actually, Nivek is a ghost company!!!

I was thinking if emailing the bunnyrabbit.com people but the shipping for this is more than double what the bottle costs so I'd be paying about $20 total for a 5.5 oz bottle...I may actually consider it if it's glass but I am amazed I cannot find this product ANYWHERE else (even my trusty amazon.com).

If I knew how I would have invented glass valve water bottles years ago!!

Does this look familiar to anyone? Or look like glass to anyone else?

Thank you very much!! Of course, I didn't think to look on the usual sites I buy from, just googled it. Little disappointed to know it's plastic, looked like it could be glass but oh well.

I hadn't looked at their site for a while and now I know they're back taking regular orders!! Yay!! I just might have to go shopping now...
