My husband keeps EVERYTHING yet he nags me about getting rid of my stuff that I had in high school... just memorabilia junk from the musicals and plays that I was in! But, he can keep old jeans that are torn and teeshirts that he will never wear. Or one mickey mouse boot because he might find the other... UGH! I am so glad that I can put my foot down with him. I am not that nice. I refuse to have stupid junk in my house or in my garage. I just throw it away. I did not realize how much junk he kept until we went to move. Thank GOD for not having nearly as much room in our new house! YAY!

And Susan, I feel for you! I would tell my hubby to get them out of my house, but that's just my personality. LOL!

I'm a little concerned right now with removing the speakers. I am scared I will do something wrong and break something in back of the TV and other speakers. I need to just put my foot down and say no...I think right now he thinks I am joking about not liking them. When I say, "They're hideous!" He probably thinks I am being cute? He went on and on about how awesome they are and he found the ORIGINAL catalog page for them...and the company, which made them, was just a great company...such great R&D.

Well...I've lived with much more hideous things around. I can survive with this for awhile, I guess. At least until I come up with a plan...

Oh, no. Poor you, Susan!

Um...are you using that as a figure of speech or does your husband really have Mickey Mouse boots? LOL!

Laura, now that you mention it...it is a little weird that a man would have Mickey Mouse boots! John would wear them though, he's not too proud. You should see what else he will wear even in public. And, he stands out already with the ginger thing going on with him...

No, no... It's an extreme cold weather boot. But they do look like Mickey Mouse's boots on the toe portion. They are ugly, but I suppose when you work outside in winter, then I understand. But I doubt he will find the other one. But they are so expensive, he's hoping. I think he's weird but whatever floats his boat.

And I would look at him and say, seriously John, those are hideous and I want them out of my house! :neener:

I don't know what to do here! He's putting them in the family room and connecting them to the TV. I am really bad at putting my foot down...these things are really ugly!

He could go attach them to his sheds or something...

Oh dear...they're hooked up and making lots of noise.
 That's awesome. What is the sound quality like?

My grandma put her foot down when this moved in as a "playhouse for the grandkids". I recommend starting as soon as possible, the stuff gets stranger with age. The picture is after he died, us removing it and 40 years of stuff from a 2 story, 3-bay "shop".
