Bringing junk home?

I don't really like to have junk around that I don't use for anything or will never use for anything. However, I am married to a man, who brings home junk all the time. This is junk we will never use.

Can you tell me what we are ever going to use giant public announcement speaker for exactly? We have a set of three from 1964 that were found on a pile of junk. I can't tell you how much junk I have secretly thrown away.

Is John normal? LOL I found a CD player in with his things that I threw away 10 years ago. There's a lot of stuff outside that I can't imagine is useful for anything. John said that he's going to use the 20" speakers for something. I'm guessing that I will let the novelty wear off and then sneak them to a dumpster in town.

John wanted me to tell you that he NEEDS these things because "Susan has gotten so hard of hearing."

My husband is a hoarder too... he has his own little building to hoard his stuff in, and I have my animals... I do my chores... and he does.. whatever he does in his little building.

I don't know what to do here! He's putting them in the family room and connecting them to the TV. I am really bad at putting my foot down...these things are really ugly!

He could go attach them to his sheds or something...

Oh dear...they're hooked up and making lots of noise.

thats hilarious! boys will be boys. my boy is a garbage picker! sometimes though, he finds something decent....will fix it up and sell it on craigs list! its good that he is handy.

That was the first thing I thought of, Craig's List. I had acquired to much stuff after being here 13 years with 5 acres. It felt great to get rid of stuff.

Hoarders wouldn't come here...everything is too clean and organized for the most part. At least my stuff is...for the most part. Don't look at my desk!

I hope that he decides to take the speakers down...

Oh lord, HAHAHAHA...I got a good chuckle outta this thread. I agree with riven that if they suddenly became more "feminine" they might come down If that doesn't work perhaps you could try bribing him with a real surround sound system for his bday or valentines day or some other future date...

My grandpa is the same way. He had 9 buildings full of "junk" and then his 2 car garage isn't for cars, not at all, more "junk"
I put junk in "" because what I see as junk he sees as stuff he would one day need. Why the man needs 100+ fishing poles is beyond me. Me and my cousin counted them but stopped. He had more throughout each building.
