Looking for recommendations on books for breeding etc. I own a few on chinchillas who have sections on breeding, but would like to expand my library.

Thank you :dance3:

Basic Genetics and History of Mutation Chinchilla by Alice Kline is also very good, if not a bit repetitive and somewhat out of date.

Both are available from the MCBA.

I like them both. One is more on care and one is more on genetics. Get them both if you can.

Not exactly a book reccomendation, but I'm a bit of a science geek so I definitely ate up http://www.sunsetchinchillas.com/Genetics.shtml . They're very very through in detailing the science behind genetics when it comes to breeding in particular. I don't think they have complete punnet squares there, but they give you everything that you'd ever need to create your own, particularly if you're looking to breed a specific phenotype.

Thanks to both of you

Drama--- I have actually looked at the same page and loved it as well! :) I have it saved to my favorites folder, LOL, with a thousand other chin links! Thanks
