BlackBerry Curve

So after some MORE phone drama Sprint sent me the BlackBerry Curve for $2.13. No upgrade fees no contract extenton nothing! Just the $2.13.

So The only reason I got that was because I have some stalkers that I want to block their calls and my phone wasnt capable of doing that so they sent me what was SUPPOSE to be the Curve but sent me the world phone.. which doesnt have anything that my current phone had so it was like a downgrade. So they let me go to the store to exchange it! WOOHOO! So Im trying to learn about all the bells and whistles it comes with.. With all the stuff I have expect it to do the dishes and laundry too!

So I have a question for those who have had or current have the curve. Im trying to get the AIM application. On my other phones its always been free.. But if Im looking at it properly it wants to charge me $50? Is this correct? Or is there some other way I can get AIM on my phone that I am just not finding..?

Did you just google these(cuz I couldve done that) or have you actually USED these successfully on a blackberry curve?

OK those came directly from the blackberry and aim sites..how much more reliable do you want?
And no I don't have a curve anymore, but I did have one and yes I had aim installed on it.

I meant I tried DOWNLOADING it and it didnt work.

Clicking a link doesnt mean it will go to the phone.

Or maybe try downloading the desktop version so that you can install it using your desktop manager.

Yes I KNOW how to follow directions. And I tried both ways.. It DOES NOT WORK.

Can you just tell me the site you got YOUR aim from? Or can anyone else help me and tell me what THEY use?

Im not unappreciative. Im sorry you think that. I realize you were trying to help. All I asked was that you tell me specifically what you used. Instead of me trying these random things that dont work and mess up the phone. Which I had already mentioned that I tried. I have already read about other people having "rottenberries" and "deadberries" because they did standard updates from the blackberry sites. So All I was trying to figure out was a specific program that you have used.

Yup I have an account over there. I can't find one that works there either... Yet there are so many threads over there to search through!

I have a Blackberry Curve and I LOVE it!!!

I spent a lot of time with the service rep at the Verizon store learning how to do all the various things; I think the carrier/supplier might be your best bet.

There's a button that says "send to cell" which you plug your cell # into and it sends it for download to your phone.

When I contacted Sprint they said to Download this application for it and it was a $49.99 charge. My eyes nearly popped out of my head!

I finally got one of the applications to work!

Its Nimbuzz for anyone else looking for this! It has MSN Yahoo Skype AIM Google talk Facebook Myspace ICQ Twitter Giovani studiVZ schuelerVZ Gadu-Gadu Hyves and Jabber.. I have NO IDEA what over half of those are but it has them!
