Alright, just a slight question.

I work from 3:00pm-11:30pm with a half an hour lunch break that I may or may not be able to sit down for. I'm pretty sure I'm working alone. I'm currently working at the catalog desk for JcPenney so I MUST remain standing. The only work appropriate shoes I can wear are these: http://www.payless.com/store/produc...&lotId=070806&category=&catdisplayName=Womens. My question is this: how do I stop my feet and legs from hurting from standing up so long? Just pop painkillers when it gets to be bad? Lately I have only been working 5-6 hours, come home, and soak my feet and legs in hot water in the bathtub, but thats not going to happen till after 11:30. Any suggestions?

I work at a hotel and stand at least 8 hrs a day, 5 days a week. I wear black nursing shoes and they are an absolute godsend.

These are the ones I wear, but they have a bunch of different styles.

These may be more of what you are looking for, though honestly, if you are wearing pants and any black shoes it really won't be noticed.

These shoes will last you forever, literally. I have been wearing mine for 3 years and they still look brand new. The insoles are replaceable (I replace mine once a year) and they are the only thing that takes any wear and tear.

Edit: These are really cute too!

Since you might not have time to get new shoes by Friday, you may just want to pick up some insoles. Even Walmart has some. When I worked retail I always put them in my shoes to help with my back. The type you need will really depend on you, for me I found the gel ones didn't help, I needed ones with more support.

What Crysta said. I wear Crocs "Mercy Work" in black. If you can't find a better pair of shoes between now and then, definitely get some supportive insoles. You will not survive a 10 hr. shift in those mary janes.

Crocs Work also has a mary jane style shoe with their recycled form-fitting rubber and everything too. They usually run about $50.
