Sunday my son, daughter, granddaughter and I went to a Chinese Buffet for lunch. As we were leaving, my son went out to the car and my daughter and I were paying. My granddaughter, who is 3, was hanging nearby. After a minute or two I turn around to see what my granddaughter is up to and I see two big, burly, tatooed, bearded, leather clad, bandana'd bikers coming in the door and my teeny, tiny granddaughter holding the door for them. I started laughing and I asked them if she held the door opened for them. One guy says "Yeah, she hooked us up." I said, "She's practicing to be a biker chick." The guys glanced back at her and said "She's got a ways to go." (She only weighs 25 pounds.) We all had a great laugh and it was funny to hear these big "bad" boys call her 'cute'. It was just a funny, sweet moment.

Aww. My favorite uncle was like that; tall, tough-looking, leather wearing biker dude doing undercover drug work for the police, picking up hit by car turtles on the side of the road and patching them up. The most famous story was when his favorite waitress at a local bar lost her cat to old age. Uncle Buck waited about a month, found a "free to good home" kitten, got him to the vet for shots and such, and tucked it in his jacket before he went to the bar. Then he teased the waitress into giving him a hug so she felt the kitten in his jacket before he unzipped his coat and handed the little thing over. She cried, and promptly named the kitten Buckey. :)

Very cute story.

What a little sweetie that Olivia is! And how ahead of her time! Auntie Laurie will have to teach her though, let the guys open the doors for you LOL!

Cute story, I would have loved to see the look on her face and the bikers' faces as it was happening.
