HI guys.. Im not having much look with my chins, just found that one of the, has hair ring..i noticed it was wet around his private area and blck hair was coming out off his sheath so i gently pulled on it and the hair came out,
But i'd read they can have more so i managed to winki all the way out and seen a tight hair ring right at the bottom. it looks tight as the blood looks darker behind it like its having trouble getting through...

Ive tried again this morn but he just wont stay still plus more hair has gone in due to him struggling, its been a nightmare and its got me so worried!!

Is it best to take him vets may be they would give him a bit of gas to calm him then she could get it off. Its been one thing after the other, my other chin has got ear fungus.. only had them 2 weeks

Are you doing the check yourself? You do have a medical emergency potential there, it needs to be removed ASAP, by either you or a vet.

Hopefully they showed you how to do yourself or at least with someone else to help. Glad your boy is ok now - definately a good thing to take him to a vet if you couldn't do it yourself. A hair ring can be a dangerous thing if it isn't taken off

Will check in a couple of weeks. Really stressed me out though worried about hurting them etc. Get to learn to do it myself though just gonna have to get some help with holding them, the vet had to get the nurse to help hold him.

Well I'm glad you got your chinnies into your home. Fungus and really bad hair rings should be preventable by good home care. Welcome to CnH you will learn all you need to here to have happy healthy chins

It's definitely easier to do a hair ring check if you have someone who can hold the chin while you extract the penis from its sheath.
