Best West Coast/Mid US show?

I am toying with the idea of getting out to either a west coast show or a show in the mid US. Due to limited funding, it looks like i'll have to just pick one show to attend for now.

I am looking for something MCBA, as I am a member with MCBA and something in a "fun" state where I can possibly sight see/find something to do and make a longer trip of it.

Any suggestions?? I'm used to just attending the York/National/Ohio shows.

Wisconsin's show is a lot of fun and there are a lot of nice people there. (Some weird ones too, but we won't talk about Becky since she's not here to defend herself today.)

I'm sure someone will jump on here to tell you all about the fun stuff to do in Wisconsin, because I don't know the area well. I will tell you that you will get to see one heck of a gnome festival during the Wisconsin show weekend!

Excuse me daughter--how could you not want to come and see me at the Wisconsin show!!????!!!! I mean come on Wisconsin has it all! We have cheese and cows and beer! (I'm not a beer drinker though!)

This year at our show Carol is singing and dancing, I hear there will be someone in handcuffs (think Wendy) and next year we're thinking of a dunk tank for Brenda!

It doesn't get any better!

Seriously, it's a smaller show and the people are great! You know I'm not a breeder and I enjoy going every year. Wendy made the two most fabulous quilts this year for the raffle, Tawana brings the most amazing chocolate you'll ever taste for a raffle item.

AND I'll be there!

I've always enjoyed the Wisconsin show..

As far as things to do... Wisconsin Dells is always fun, although it will be getting too cold out for the outdoor water parks and things, so mostly things like the indoor water parks will be open. Wisconsin Dells is more fun in the summer I think..

You could always stop in Chicago, there's more to do there like the Shedd Aquarium and big city things.

When is the WI show? I haven't paid much attention to the shows that aren't out my way. I'll run it past the BF and see what he says..he's the one who suggested going to a "fun" state for the next show, lol

Megs - like you should even have to ask which show to come to out here....
Just in this part of Wisconsin alone - there is Mt. Horeb = troll capital, House on the Rock, Cave of the Mounds, my store in Mazomanie...
We can find all kinds of things for you to do here if you stay a couple extra days.

Well crap, I didn't know it was this soon! I won't be able to make it out this year...if only we thought of this sooner! I'll keep WI in mind for the future though .
