I'm Sandra. Back in the 2000's I was a member of the southern California Empress Chinchilla Breeders Association. Served as Secretary for a year IIRC. My herd exceeded 70 in 2007. I would love to have one or two as pets and just enjoy them, it's not something I can do right now.

Just curious as to how much has changed in 11 years? Are there still chinchilla association shows happening?

I'm dabbling with the idea of pet chins in the future. But not until my roommate situation changes. The dust would kill her due to long-haul covid and non Hodgkins lymphoma. In the meantime, I'll be popping in and out.
