Hi everyone. I haven't posted in quite some time, but have browsed quite a few times. Things have been busy here and Tam got her first Grandson on May 20. Capi and Coffee are doing good and have turned out to be best of friends.
I have a question that I hope someone can answer. Has anyone ever used the pine pellet bedding that they sell at Tractor Supply? It looks like it would be a lot less messy. I am not thing so much for the chins but for our spoiled house bunny. She was born in Feb during the long cold time we had. She was almost frozen when we got to her. All our rabbits free range so we just kept her in and she thinks she is a puppy or at least acts like it. No she doesn't get to play with the chins. Thanks for reading and good night to all. Tamsam and all our critters.

thanks I wasn't aware of this but they never come in contact with each other or play in the same area. Sam

The pine pellets I use come from Tractor Supply, and I've used them for years with no problems. Sometimes they will have a different brand the the usual, and I just look up the info on the web. (the websites usually tell you if the pellets are kiln dried or not, and if not, I call to verify).

Just make sure they haven't been sitting out in the rain while at the store.

I use it for my rabbit and for my chins. I haven't seen the chins chew on it. I only buy the horse bedding, not the wood stove stuff, because that wood can be a mixture of all kinds.

thanks guys. These pellets are the bedding for horses. The pine shavings are a little messy but even more so with the rabbit as they tend to stick on her till she is on the floor and get everywhere. I guess next trip to TS I will pick up a bag. Thanks again. Sam and all our critters.
