Hi from the chin side. OMG that's ADORABLE!!!! So funny! Especially when the hedgie flips over (maybe that's dangerous if they can't right themselves? I dunno? but it's kinda funny and cute!!) Soooo previous *in love*

That is just too cute! What an adorable chubby hedgehog he is! He looks like he is all puffed up like a balloon! None of my hedgies have nearly as much fun in the bath!

While that video is cute, I think it sends the wrong impression to people who could think that all hedgies like to swim and go under water. If I tried that with most of mine, I'm sure some would die of fright.

Yeah, I agree. I've never had a hedgehog that enjoyed their bath time. This hedgie is obviously having fun and enjoying it.... but I'd just be worried that others who don't know what they're doing would come along and want to make their hedgehog 'swim'. this could severely stress the hedgehog out, or it would even drown...even if it could touch the bottom.

Mine doesn't react like that at all to baths. She runs toward the shallow end of the tub and/or tries to climb out. She's even overexcited herself to the point of vomiting trying to scramble out to the sink (I've made changes to footbath time since then).

Yeah, Sonic does not enjoy bathtime. Just like people, hedgies have different personalities.

My Maddie hates taking a bath, but that video is awesome. I love how he just floats along on his back like a log! LOL

Shming is too cute! I wish mine would enjoy bath time like that, but she even flips out during foot baths in the sink. Oh well.

Just wondering, have you ever had any problems with water getting in the ears? I've heard it can cause infections...

Aww, Shming is adorable and sounds like he is much loved. I read your info posted about him being so big becaused he's on meds :( and how not all hedgie's are like him as in liking baths so much. Good luck with him during his "twilight" years.

Some like water some think you are killing them if you get them wet. I had one who would throw a fit if she wasn't allow to swim before being given a bath. She liked water. Then there was Turtle who just turning on water in a room down the hallway would cause him to freak and run to hide.

This video is just adorable. Can't say I've ever had a hedgehog that enjoyed bathtime. Mine all try to scramble to get out of the water the minute they feel it.

That's not my hedgehog. I don't even have a hedgehog yet. :(
I just found this on youtube. Sorry for the confusion!
If anyone has any questions about Shming you can leave a comment on the video and the owner will usually answer.
