Nervousings

ever since the earthquake, varg has been barking whenever i open the cage to change his food/give an apple stick, or even sometimes just walking by. is it bad to pet them while they are barking? should i just leave him alone until this subsides? im jsut so eager to bond with him... :hmm:

Sounds as if he may still be a bit unnerved by the quake. When Trixie barks, I simply talk low and quiet to her. To reassure her everything is OK.
Are there still aftershocks going on? just wondering if there are still some undetected rumblings that we cannot feel, but the critters can. Did anything happen during the quake that would have caused him injury??

i do not think there are any aftershocks... but you really could be right... they have some crazy senses. and there was no harm done.. he was just SO scared.

The ebony chin I won from Nationals just started to settle down here. She was a nervous wreck from the show until we got home. She started to settle down after 5 days being here. Now she's back to be a nervous wreck and she now barks since the earthquake. Before the earthquake she never barked. I'm talking to her trying to settle her back down. I don't think we're having any after shocks.

isnt it sad... i just want him to be calm... hes such a wreck. did you have dogs howling as well?

Do I have the only chin that did not feel anything? I'm sure your kids will calm down soon.
