Bald streak??

While giving Ellie a foot bath lastnight, I noticed something for the first time. When I was petting her I noticed a bald streak in the middle of her head going partly down her back. It almost looks as if her spikes were parted down the middle. Is this normal??

I believe you're describing what some people refer to as the "reverse mohawk." All hedgies have this area that starts at their brow and extends backwards where there aren't any quills. The thought is it helps not to have quills there when turning into a pokey little quillball.

If you have a moment and a camera to post a pic, I'd say take a pic & post to be certain. But I think you're describing a normal feature.
