So Odd here has a bald spot on his tail. I noticed last week, I figured it was a fur slip since it wasn't red or scaly, but I'm not 100% sure anymore. I think it has grown...I totally forgot what I should do for it, how should I treat it if it is fungus?

Here's a few pictures for good measure:

Is he sticking his tail out through the bars or some place that it's rubbing on? That would be my first guess.

That could be, I'll watch him close for a while. It doesn't bother him or anything...

I've had chins do that before they'll basically just rub the fur off/down.

If you do find that it's fungus you can use an anti-fungal like Tinaticin in the dust, I avoid topicals if I can because they might lick them and such.

Idgie has the exact same little line of bald spot on her tail. Hers isn't quite as long (only about 1/2 inch) and hasn't gotten longer. But the fur isn't growing back either. It is never red--just a little white line. I just keep an eye on it, but I have no clue how it happened either.

Odd has a spot that starts at the base and goes up into his fur, and then another about 1/2 up towards the base.
