My 3 babies are finally old enough to find new homes. today is exactly 8 weeks since they were born, So i took them away from their mom and separated them all. all of them have been eating on their own since they were around 6 weeks, they weaned themselves around that time. they are going great on their own, eating/drinking fine, everything looks good.
but, i read somewhere that a healthy baby weight at 8 wees is 300 grams. i weighed them, the boy weighs 245, he's always been the biggest. but then i weighed one of the girls, and she is only 185 grams, and the other girl is 190. is this going to be a problem? they are both perfectly healthy, energetic, pooping good, nothing is wrong at all. i'm only worried because a family friend is going to be taking one of the babies, and they were supposed to be coming this weekend to get them, i just want to make sure the babies are okay to go. should i be worried or is this an okay weight?

If they are eating pellets and hay and gaining on their own, I think they should be fine. I like to make sure mine are at least 200+ grams at 8 weeks, but that doesn't always happen. If we're rehoming kits, before we do, we have them separated from mom for a week (so between week 8 and week 9) - assuming they continue to gain during that time, they're able to leave at 9 weeks...

For triplets, those are normal weaning weights. Generally for smaller litters of one or two the kits will be about the weight of your biggest boy if not bigger. Litters of triplets often have one or two a bit smaller and lighter than the pig of the litter. :)
