Baby Derby

Hi All,

I have never shown a chinchilla before, but I plan on taking a couple to the Ryerson Field Day for my first shot. I saw a Baby Derby advertised. Can anyone give me some information about this? I have never heard of a Baby Derby.

a baby derby is for chins that are under show age and the audience judges the chins and votes for the best - ive seen it done different ways where money is placed in jars for the chins, and where each person gets one ticket and can vote only once - the winner gets a baby derby trophy

Baby derbies are for chins 2 to about 5 months old. They are given cages and put on a table so everyone can see them, and the audience votes on their favorite. It is not judged, it is strictly for fun, and the results are not an endorsement of their quality, just maybe their cuteness. =)
