Have you looked at the metal hanging scewers i know you can get them off parrot sites, you could also buy coco rope to thread through that way they can eat the whole thing :)
 
Thank you! But is there anything I can use until I can get to the store? perhaps copper wire or something? Twine maybe? or maybe I can figure out something else like a thin branch
 
hmmm..... how about braiding some of the stronger stalks of your chin's hay together? that'd make a safe 'rope' for now, and then just tie the ends to the cage bars. spraying the hay with water will make it more pliable and then braid and thread the wood on it, and let it dry before putting it in the cage.
 
I agree with chinnymom about the hay, i tend to reuse the chains from the old toys or just rebuild their old toys into something new :)
 
I figured out something to do! :) I cleaned and baked some birch twigs and I grabbed 2 larger ones and picked off all of the lumps on them except for one near the bottom. I cleaned and baked them then I put the chews on their and I have a metal hook I used to attach them! They love them :) Here are pictures of the finished products:

thanks guys! :D and the chains are from chinchilla toys I had but broke, so I'm pretty sure that they are safe :)
