I'm terrible about leaving things out until the weekend...and then I get ambitious and pick everything up at once. Until then, soda cans, laundry, and dishes tend to sit out. It drives poor bf nuts, and I do try to clean up during the week, but I'm usually so strapped for time, I'd rather just drop stuff and get my work done.

When the kids were small, I worked less so I did everything in the house. Now that they're teenagers, and I work more, I am sooooo lazy when I get home. 5 people live in this house and there is no way 1 person is going to keep up with the house work, especially not this 1 person lol.

I don't have any kids.
No husband or boyfriend to fret over/fight with or clean up after.
I am unemployed, completely financially dependent on my parents, who, fortunately for me, are able to do that.
And I am the laziest person in the world and have pretty much been spoiled my whole life.

That being said, I am completely aware of my good fortune and try to appreciate it as often as I remember to, which is not enough.

I'm either in school or volunteering at some place with animals since I can never find/get jobs. That's it and I still am going to turn in a late assignment today because I was too lazy to do it the other night. I should probably consider therapy and working on my mental illnesses work too. My therapist even gave my homework last week!!!!

For some reason, this laziness never really affects Chloe (chin). I would feel too guilty if I got real lazy on her. But myself? Eh, I can wait until I have like 4 loads to do laundry.

When it comes to my home I am not lazy. I can not live in a mess and I will not go to bed with dishes in the sink. All beds get stripped and sheets washed on Fridays. The bathroom and remainder of the house are cleaned on Saturday morning. Dirty clothes better be in the hamper or I will yell. Sometimes I come home to Jeff sitting on the couch watching TV with his jeans right next to time. That is about the time I tell him he can go move to a frat house if he wants to live like a pig. :banghead:

I'm with you ladies on toilet paper rolls. It must be over. I too will change it at other peoples home if I see it the "wrong" way.

When it comes to taking care of myself I am crazy lazy. I would much rather sit on the couch reading, watching TV, hanging out on CnH, or many other things than work out. But alas my metabolism slammed on it's breaks when I turning 25. :cry3: So now I struggle with working out and eating healthy. Who knew I would not be able to eat all the crap I wanted when I got older.

I am so lazy sometimes that I procrastinate about going to the bathroom. I just sit there reading until it becomes an emergency! One more chapter! :p
I'm bad about dirty dishes. That's what the dishwasher is for!
I'm also bad about getting up in the morning. Ten more minutes becomes half an hour!

I am so lazy I didn't even bother reading this whole thread!

Why don't you take it in with you?

Just curious, everyone else I know either keeps it in the bathroom or takes it with them. lol. :D

I will take my book in the bathroom.

Granted I will NOT get out of bed in the middle of the night if I have to pee. Nope not doing it.

Forgot to say. I won't leave my house until the bed is made. I'm a little OCD.

My bed would be so wet if I didn't get up in the middle of the day to pee a few times--and no I do not need urodynamics!

As much as I love, love, LOVE to read, a book never goes into the bathroom with me, that kind of grosses me out actually.

I am lazy in that I wait until laundry over flows before doing it. My mom has always told me do a load a day, but forget that!

I am horrible with laundry I will wash it but I have to be badgered into folding....it piles up in clean piles..then once folded another few days to put away then it starts all over agin. I live out of baskets.

I also hate picking up leftovers after dinner. That has become Marshalls job I will cook it if he puts it away

I used to be that way with laundry, but that was back when I was a maniac about ironing. Now I fold...no more ironing :)

ok..

im also guilty about the clothes issue. our bathroom is directly across from our laundry room....my clothes that come off before my bath get pushed in the corner in the bathroom when the hamper is literally.......3-4 feet across the hall lol

i will NOT use a dishwasher..i think its more work to rinse, load, let clean, unload, put up. then to just wash the dishes, put them on the clean side, then grab one later when you need it lol :)
and im not lazy enough to not get out of bed at 3-4am...its a routine for me..pee before bed, pee anywhere from 3-4am , then pee again anywhere from 8-10 am..if not, i dreeeeam about having to pee and id most likely urinate on myself cuz i have to go so bad lol..(not that i have ever done that, i havent lol)

Definately lazy - I HATE housework, try to get by with as little as possible (would much rather read a book) Anything done with/for the animals is not included with housework. I would rather shovel horse manure (if I had a horse, which I would love to have) than do housework

As much as I would LOVE to be lazy, I really can't be. I'm the one that lives in this house that does all the cleaning. My husband and I currently live at my parents with my 2 brothers aswell. Well, they are all MESSY (excluding my parents of course). I hate living in filth, so if I don't do anything... it wouldn't get done.

When I was younger, we all had shared chores and we would rotate every week. Now that everyone is older, my brothers, don't do anything. They are usually either up in their room or in the living room playing video games. As soon as I ask for help, one either runs up in his room and the other goes to his friends house. Now, these guys are over 21yrs old! Its really hard for one person to keep up with how many adults! Our 3 1/2yr old is cleaner than these guys! But it really got to the point that I would just do it rather than waste my breath yelling at them to throw this away or wipe that down. Let me tell you though, my husband adds to it all, but he also helps when he can.

Needless to say, I seriously can't wait for my husband and I to get our own place. Then I'll have only have my husband and our daughter to clean up after and things will be stuck where I want them.

The toilet paper is a HUGE thing for me! A new roll has to be put on (I can't stand when people leave an empty roll and then a full roll on the back of the toilet) AND it has to be rolling over NOT under. Plus the toilet seat lid has to be DOWN! Everytime I go into the bathroom for anything, I always have to put it down and also the shower curtain has to be closed. Yea, I have OCD, LOL.

Alicia, I cant have the shower curtain open either. I have to have it shut. But sometimes I wake in the middle of the night and think the Chucky doll is in there so if its open he will come out and if its closed(its strong enough to hold him) he wont come out. The shower doors I have to keep shut as well. But not because of Chucky. I spray shower cleaner in there everyday and if I dont shut it the dogs will lick at the chemicals.

Haha, I never had anything with Chucky. BUT my daughter has something with Pinocchio. She's so affraid of that doll, she thinks he's everywhere. Ever since she woke up and walked in the room where my husband was watching that movie "Pinocchio's Revenge". Which I can totally understand why she would be scared.

Oh I forgot to mention, the ice cube tray thing is a big peeve of mine! I hate when they only leave one cube left or an empty tray! LOL. Empty boxes in the cabinet is another one aswell! We have a marker board to write down what we need after its been used up/eaten/drank, but no one seems to use it but ME!

One thing I AM lazy about is dusting. I'm soo alergic to it that I try to put it off. I've already tried conning my brothers into doing it, but obviously from my previous post, that doesn't work. The house we live in is a pretty decent size, so I always have A LOT of dusting to do. BLAHHH, I hate it!

I can be lazy at times. But, usually, unless I do it (whatever "it" is), it won't be done and it frustrates me to the point that I feel like exploding.

I prefer to assume there's a valid reason that something was left undone. But if it's just that the person responsible for the mess didn't feel like dealing with it, I have to work hard at not exploding. For example, I've taken to picking up trash, walking past three trash cans, and calmly handing it to the person who should have thrown it away.

Or, if coats are piled up on the floor of the entrance rather than being hung up, I figure it's okay to wipe my snow-covered boots all over them. But only after a reminder to pick them up first... I figure anyone can screw up. I mean, let's say you were slowed by driving conditions, really had to pee, ran in the house, and forgot about it... no problem. Just pick it up now. But if you're a lazy jerk about it, then I deserve nice dry boots and you deserve to have a soaking wet coat in the middle of winter ;)

I'll change the toilet paper roll around too. But now with an added twist: if the family has cats, I'll leave it the "wrong" way. Apparently, some cats have an interest in unfurling the entire roll and putting it in the under position helps prevent that.
