I have been trying to organize all of my chinchilla supplies for a really long time. I have supplies in the basement, around/under/on top of the cages in my family room, in the garage...it's gotten totally out of control! :hair: I spent about 6 hours the other day just trying to make the cage area look tidy in case some friends popped in lol. I just ordered some decorative baskets to store some stuff in to make my family room more presentable. I just needed to whine a little and to know I'm not alone ;).

My chin stuff has taken over much of my house. I do organize it all and put it away, but it just keeps coming back to cover my dining room table and the front room.

I need to start actually putting away the bags of pellets because when I have new pellets come in every two weeks I tend to pile it up in the front room. Basically it looks like the chins have taken over at my house.

Yes i am also the same,I bought a little drawer unit and thought i could keep everything in that but its now full and i have bags everywhere lol

I just can't pass up a deal, whether its for me or chinnie stuff, so yes, I am in the same boat as well.

I'm always thinking of ways to "hide" the chin stuff. Now the chin meds are in with my meds. Just another day in paradise. :p

I have so much chin stuff it is ridiculous. I have said time and time again that I am going to sell off some stuff but I never seem to be able to part with any of it. I always think I will eventually use it even though it never actually happens.

It is amazing how such little animals can aquire so many things. Being that I just have Trixie, I do not have as much of an issue with storage as you with multiple chins. I have a dedicated room that is Trixie' playroom, and I also use it for her stuff. I have a large trash covered trash barrel (the kind people often use outdoors) for her bedding in the corner of her playroom. It if cute as I have it pulled away from the wall a bit, and she loves to hide behind it. I also have a plastic storage bin for her extra hay. I usually keep a few bits of hay on top, so she will often stop there for a snack. I have her bath house in there, and keep the extra dust there too,
I transfer her food into a plastic container, and keep it in the fridge. Her treats are in a small box by her cage.

You could always donate it to your local rescue. I hear there is a good one in Jacksonville :).

NOLA you are right. When Scooter, my guinea pig died, I brought his extra hay, bedding and a never opened bag of food to our shelter. The lady there was apreciative as eshe told me folks sometimes forget they have critters there, and do not donate things for them.

WOW!!! Thanks for making me feel MUCH better!!!

I, too, have so many priority boxes of various items that I feel like I live in a warehouse. I keep meaning to at least get the wood and toys in a container of some sort, but haven't yet.

I have a little 3-drawer cart with food, toys/wood and dust, but it's not large enough to hold everything.

My babies are certainly spoiled!!! :)

You keep talking about organizing but it never sounds like it actually happens Susan! :neener:

Oh, it gets organized and put away, but it seems like it all immediately gets pulled out and placed right in the middle of everything. There's just SO MUCH. There's 260 pet chins here, it's me constantly running back and forth trying to get everyone happy with toys and treats and whatever else they need. It's impossible to have everything perfect all the time no matter how hard I try!

Boxes, drawers, bags..... Pretty much contained in one room, though. Except for the poop...that manages to get everywhere.:hair:
