My cage isn't big enough to fit a standard exercise wheel. Anyone knows if any playpen is sturdy enough to mount a chin spin or a flying saucer to it so at least my chin can exercise a bit?

Thanks!

dawn--what did you make your playpens out of?? i need a larger more sturdy one and i would LOVE to get one wheel to mount. mostly to see what chins like the wheel, so i dont waste money & buy 9 of them!
my fiance' is very handy so i am sure he can build something. right now the one i have is flimsy and only richie has figured out how to jump out even WITH the cover on. i am trying to figure out another solution, since this just started happening this week.

My boyfriend's parents made me a playpen/cage to have the chins take turns during playtime. One day Tribble is in the playpen and momma and sister have the room and next day it's vice versa. Two sides of the playpen are made out of wood and the other two sides are caging so we can see what's going on in there. The wheel mounts to the caging- We can't really have a wheel in our actual cages- because the kits are too young to have one full time. They don't even use the wheel a whole lot because they are too busy doing other things. I put cardboard tubes, boxes and other fun stuff in there.

Kiln Dried pine wood with tile floor. It also has a bunch of shelves for them to jump up on. I believe the cage is 4'x4'x4'. It is awesome and the chins love it-so do I ;)

I had a foster home that got a Ware playpen and attached a ChinSpin. It worked out great for them.

I should clarify, they had the 8 sided wire Ware playpen. It could also work with the 11 sided. But not the Ware playpen with the fabric sides.

About Ware Pen. Do you have a picture or a website where I can find it? I would love to get a exercise pen for my chins.

I know others will disagree, but with an animal that likes to jump and play, that cage is only good enough for a starter cage, and you may want to look into upgrading at some point to something with a little more room.

Yeah I will. Thanks for the advice. I just got my chin a couple of months ago with that cage as well (didn't realize it wasn't too big). I don't want to waste the 100 sth bucks but I know she's better off with more room, so decided to add a playpen.
