Any experience - Ulcer

Hi Chin Family

Quick question and to state clearly my chinchilla is under veterinary care (the vet is super).

Barney my almost 5 year old chin has a mouth ulcer, wonder if anyone has ever experienced something similar and how long it takes to get better. Vet said 7-14 days but thought I would reach out across the chin community to see if anyone has had something similar and their experience

I'm not sure on the healing time for an ulcer, but I am curious. What did the vet say caused the ulcer? Is it inside the mouth or on the outside?
