I picked my baby hedgie up from Nancy this afternoon and she's warming up already, it makes me happy! When I woke her up at 6:45 she wouldn't let me touch her, but when I tried again at 8 she let me pick her up in a blankie and pet her. She has a favourite spot already - burying her face into the crook of my arm She hasn't eaten or drank anything yet, but I figure there's no need to worry about that until tomorrow.

Morning update It looks like she tried out the wheel, or at least played in the shavings - they're everywhere hahaha. She took a liking to a car I put in there already last night, seems to push it under the blanket with her sometimes. She might have drank something..Or the water might have evaporated, how can you tell? >_< Definitely didn't eat anything though.

Count her kibble to see if she does eat anything. It's difficult to tell without counting if they only eat a small amount. Put some counted kibble in her bed with her. Often they will eat in bed when they won't eat from their dish. How tall are her dishes? Water can be difficult to tell how much they drink. As long as she is peeing, she is drinking.

Tell her we miss her. It's strange not having her here.

I did do the counting thing. I'm not actually sure that she has peed, certainly not an obvious amount. The dishes are about 1" high like you said to get, but I will definitely try putting some food in the bag with her.
