I know this isn't going to be a popular post but I wonder how much this was for the cat or for the humans. It just doesn't look like a great life for that kitty. Maybe I'm not seeing it all from the right point of view. They mention she can't even scratch an itch or groom. I wonder if the stumps she's walking on gets sore. I'm all for saving animals lives but I wonder when we sometimes might go too far.

That was my initial feeling as well.

I'm with carol and ruoc... That can't be good for the cat for going to the bathroom, either. It doesn't seem like it'd be a good quality of life for the poor girl.

I was initially in agreement with Carol and Ash, but I saw the video and she just looks so cuddly! Then I thought, my cats never did all that much walking anyway. And in the last few years of my old kitty's life, I had to bring him to the bathroom, bring his food to him, and clean up his accidents daily. So really I could see myself doing it. She looks like the perfect lap cat! :D I'm sure she'll find a good home, I would even take her myself if I could!

I think if she can find the right home, where she can get constant companionship to help her with her special needs, then I think she could have a good quality of life. Maybe an older couple...I think you have to go by the attitude of the cat. If the cat seems depressed, then it isn't worth putting her through life this way. But if she seems to take it well, then life is always the first choice. I just hope she finds that perfect home.

That does not seem fair to the cat. They thrive off playing, jumping, stalking, ect. it's what they do. I can see this with a 3 legged cat, sure, but not this. :( Poor thing.

I would have said the same thing about quality of life, but it's hard to say..... it did say the cat caught a mouse. Dunno how hard it is to catch a mouse, but I imagine they're not just kinda creepin by at a snail's pace... I think the cat didn't look miserable... but I just think it's hard to say. Cause I feel like if the cat's enjoying life... but then it's like, well the cat can't tell you... and how do you tell if a cat with stumps (no offense to the cat) that doesn't move around much is moping and depressed if she already doesn't move around much?
