I'm just wondering if I'm the only one who has an obsession with re-aranging my chinchilla's cage lol. I just always think that it looks better they way I put it every time.:) I just mover her little cardboard house down to the 1st floor closer to her food and water to make sure she has quick and easy access to it, lol. Because somtimes I think that she was too lazy to walk ALL the way down to get some food or a drink.

Oh **** no. I'm constantly looking in my cages going to myself, "okay what can i change around so they might like it better". I drive myself nuts...

I don't even bother anymore. I put things where I want it, and the boys move it to where they want it. I just let them design their own pad. It works. They live there, I'm just the maid :rolleyes2:

I don't like rearranging the cage too much. When they get here, I get the cage how they like it, and pretty much leave it other than adding or moving around a ledge here and there. They memorize the layout of their cage, and changing it too much may confuse them.

I say this because more than once, I took out a ledge that was getting nasty from being peed on or moved a ledge somewhere. I sat and watched the chins cage leap for the ledge, even though it wasn't there at all. They obviously didn't land on anything and ending up falling.

I don't move things too much because they memorize the set up like Stackie said. Kunya does love to move his hay holder around. He actually started to try and move his dust house too, but I attach it to the side of the cage when it's bath time. He is a meticulous lil chinnie, or maybe a neat freak with OCD!

Yeah... I used to spend hours moving stuff in my chins cage around. Then after all my hard work I'd come back to her pulling her home across the whole cage. I once watched her as a baby get mad the alfafa block was on the bottom level and try to drag it up the stairs (it was about her size so it took her some time).
