Wondering if anyone has such experience with their chins before...

My girl is a 13 years old female.

The bath dust I use is the brand "Blue Cloud". Since several months ago (I think by the end of last year), she had quite a frequent vet visit because of the same problem---sneeze, after more than 10 continuously sneeze her nose would be a bit wet and the discharge was transparent . Everytime the vet couldn't told if she really had a problem or not as she wasn't sneezing at that moment, the chest is clear and there was no discharge from her nose. The vet would still give me antibiotics and she was always on it for 7-10days. This happened occasionaly when I was cleaning up and after cleaning up for her cage, and I always made an appointment after I heard her non-stop sneezing, but that always stopped--- sometimes just after I cleaned up, sometimes still had several sneezes after I cleaned up but would stop after a few hours, everytime when we arrived to the vet, no more sneeze.

I give her dust bath every 2-4 days. I am just wondering would chins has the same allergy problems as us--human, which cause us non-stop sneezing and watery eyes.

She had watery eyes, and the vet gave me eye-drops everytime (but never mentioned of allergy problems), after some observations, I thought her water eyes were due to the dust from the wood shaving, and I changed the bedding and no more watery eyes anymore.

Therefore, I am just wondering her sneezes are due to allery to the dust.

Agreed. Sweet PDZ is used by people who have allergies to the dust, I think it may work for chins too.

Thx for the suggestions.

Sweet PDZ can be used as bath dust for chinchilla? It seems that's a odor controller...

Sorry I have never heard of such a product so wanna to know more.

Thx

Yes, people use it as a chinchilla bath too. It is technically a horse stall deodorizer, but there are plenty of people who use it as a dust bath for chins.

It's worth a try to see if it helps your chin.

Hopefully some people who use it will chime in and tell you more!

:)
