I'm in the market for a queen sized air mattress. Does anyone have any recommendations of particular brands and/or models that you've had success with? I don't want any guests waking up in the middle of the night to find that they're sleeping on the floor because the mattress deflated! I also don't want to spend more than $60 on this thing.

This is what I'm considering right now:

Intex Pillow Rest Queen Airbed with Built-In Electric Pump

Coleman Queen-Sized Quickbed with 4D Pump and Wrap 'N' Roll Storage

My daughter got one at K-Mart for around that price over a year ago - has been fine!

i am obsessed with our AeroBed. we have a pillowtop queen size one that we use for camping and for guests. i swear it is almost as comfortable as sleeping on my regular bed. yes, it is a bit more than you're asking to spend but its worth every penny! i think i got mine at costco for $80 after i used a coupon. maybe you could find one on craigslist?

out of the two you listed, i'd vote for the intex. having that double height is so nice!

I've had good luck with the AeroBed brand too. The pump makes it convenient to use and it's quite comfortable! The mattress is quite firm given it's filled with air. I was able to get a good deal at Bed, Bath, Beyond with a coupon and it was also on sale. I think I also saw one at Costco as well (Costco as a good return policy too, no reshelving fee).

We had a really old one where you had to hand-pump the mattress... geez, it was the worst thing ever.

I've gone through about 3 Coleman brand mattresses... used them every single night for a few years in a row. Each lasted approx one year before leaking and leaving me on the floor in the middle of the night.

I have two more Coleman's that have been working okay for a couple of years now, but they've only been used a couple dozen times per year.

I love my Coleman mattress. It's the one that is as tall as a mattress with a box spring under it. That thing is way more comfy than a normal bed!

I have a SwissGear one... it works ok, but it seems like after a night or two you have to pump some more air into it... maybe they're all like that, I don't know... one of my friends has the double-height one. I can't think of what it's called, but like tunes said, it's as tall as a mattress with a box spring under it. I think those are better, cause the one I have is just a single-level one and when you first step on it, even if it's fully inflated, it's like you step through to the ground...

I have that exact Coleman one that you linked to, where it's just a single mattress. Mine is working well, and I've had it for over a year, definitely works fine over night. I do re-inflate it if using it for multiple days though. I got mine at Walmart so the price was pretty good.

i've slept on many coleman mattresses like the one you linked and I haven't had any problems. I think my aunt had to replace them once or twice but they also get used for camping a lot and the boys like to jump on them.
