Is Acidophilus alright to give to Chinchillas? In a wafer form or what kind? And if it is, what flavor would be alright to give to them? I've seen Strawberry, Banana and Blueberry so far in the wafer type.

I usually get the acidophilus capsules from the chemist, then open the capsule and sprinkle some on their pellets, or into their Critical Care. I've never seen wafer ones before, but maybees that's cause I'm all the way down here in NZ??!!

Anyways, why are you wanting to give acidophilus? Is your chin on antibiotics?

I read online in a couple places that acidophilus is okay to give about once a month or so and could help chinchillas from bloat and such. I'm getting my first chin in early April, so I'm not really experienced with chins and I was curious to know.
