abbreviations?

I've been wondering, when you go on a breeder's website and it lists the hedgie's name as:

KTW "name" LCH or something like that, what do the initials stand for?

I haven't been able to find anything that explains it on my other hedgie websites. lol. :hmm:

The letters are the breeders herd initials. KTW is Kymwana Tiggy Winkles, LCH isn't listed so is possibly a new breeder and they haven't updated yet. My initials are THD for TheHedgieDen. Here's the list. http://www.hedgehogregistry.org/herdinitials.html

Thanks-- I would never have guessed that on my own. The breeder I'm buying from is Lilac City Hedgehogs, so that makes sense as their initials. It doesn't look like KTW is on the online list either, so I'm guessing it hasn't been updated in a bit.

KTW has been breeding for many years. I'm surprised she isn't on there as there are many fairly new ones that are on there. :hmm:

That's weird... KTW is on the IHA breeder page, but not on the registry page... Ah well, at least I know what it means now! I was getting very curious. )

All it means is they either accidentally deleted her when adding others, or, they totally forgot to add her in the first place. I am certain she used to be on there so I'm betting something screwed up when adding others.
