A WHOLE lot of hay!

My chinchilla Ruby eats a lot of timothy hay. She will eat four good handfulls A DAY! She should always have a supply i know, but is this normal? She eats probly one alfalfa cube a week but she eats a lot of timothy hay. She probably eats a half cup of pellets a week too. She isnt overweight one bit, is she growing maybe? She is 9 months old. Thanks!

She comes from really good lines and is supposed to get pretty big. She is already bigger than my friends was when it died (13 years old). It's crazy! She is outgrowing her cage (24"by24"by41") I guess I'll be joining the FN club soon!

Ruby is one smart chinchilla! What kind of pellets are you feeding her btw?

I have two hay beasts: the Grey Boys eat a lot of hay and I bring it over by the armload each day. The others do eat hay but nothing like those two beasts.
