Last night I slept on the couch because after helping my fiance move into his apartment, I was ZONKED! I came home, waited long enough for the woman to come get the cage, let her see the chinchillas (She'd never seen any before and begged) and then she was on her way after she paid me. I fell asleep on the couch, didn't wake up once.
This morning, however, I woke up to my dad saying "One of your guinea pigs is loose" I thought "Guinea pigs? I don't have any...OH NO" So I hop up and look around, didn't see anything and thought he'd gone senile in his older age. "One of the guinea pigs is under the tables" Sure enough, I see little Aiko peeking up at me like "Mom, I can explain..." I bend down thinking she wanted me to pick her up, she was off like lightning. I saw her squeeze under my door (Some how she managed, my oh my) and ran off to my bedroom, opened the door only to see her and Rini both in their cage, looking at me innocently. Now, either they can easily squeeze in and out, or both have clones that I'm not aware of.
After inspecting my room, I see that a plate filled with pear wood chew chews that I prepared a few days earlier and planned to give them after I run out of the ones I already have, is destroyed. There's chews every where, as well as bark chewed off of most of them. I see poo all over my bed, but other wise nothing was bothered. I'm astounded at these little Houdini's.
Right now, Rini is napping and Aiko is destroying her new loofah slices, but I must say the highlight of my day was the cute look they had on their face when I found them back in their cages, much to my surprise. They shall call me...The Chin Whisperer, because telepathically she knew I wanted her back in the cage, and I did it with my super powers (Okay, exaggerating a little, maybe they knew they'd get no treat if she didn't suddenly appear back in?)
Either way, I'm strongly welcoming the arrival of my FN cage. If they can escape from that thing, I will definitely be setting up video surveillance. I hope this story gave SOMEONE a laugh, now that I think about it I'm laughing a bit too. Have a great day CnH'rs!
