I was thinking about making a flower mix of red rose buds, pink rose buds, bee pollen, calendula petals, red clover flowers, and hibiscus flowers.

My biggest concern is all of it safe as a treat? I've read that they are, but I want to double and triple check! If it is all safe, do you think it'd make a good treat?

People are probably gonna have mixed feelings on this. I tried to give my chinnies a "flower salad" of some sort and they didn't like it. I just don't bother since the effects of giving it to chins isn't known yet.

I have used all of those except the calendula. I wouldnt give too much though. A small pinch equal to 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon. You could add some hay dust and oats too. And still just give a pinch. They won't eat what they don't like. Some of my boys gobble up my herbal/flower mix others leave some things behind. No one leaves the oats behind! That's the first thing to go. That is their treat. The only other thing I give them regularly is 1 half of a shredded wheat. And of course their nightly wood!
