To put it very politely, the end product from raising chinchillas for their pelts. They are tannned and processed, and then judged and then sometimes (at a Pelt Buy) puchased by a buyer for the fur industry.

ETA: Please remember that this is a "Pelt Neutral" forum. :thumbsup:

What Lynn said. After a chinchilla is pelted they send the pelt to get dressed (its like tanning a hide) and then they can show thier pelts. Most pelts are sold. I am not sure exactly what they are looking for when shown. Probably how well it was pelted and the quality of the pelt.

when i opened my Empress magazine and saw the ad i was so excited i did a lil dance!

its for sure im going to nationals this year (probably just to see lots beautiful animals)!!! lol
