I give Idgie a few pieces of rolled oats (like Quaker Oats, but not the quick ones) or oat groats. Some days I give her a couple pieces of rose hips (which I buy from someone here online).

I actually buy poplar wood for Idgie to chew. Not sure how much she would like it on a branch since she seems to really only love the bark on the apple sticks.

I feed Idgie grass hay from a farmer. Not sure if it is orchard grass--the farmer just calls it "grass" lol. Has a little alfalfa in it. There are thin and thick stalks. $6 for a bale. Sometimes I share with neighbors who have rabbits since Idgie can't eat a bale of hay!
