My chinchilla Mochi (whose name has been changed several times today) is making weird noises. The only way I can describe is a more quiet version of a guinea pig's constant squeak. The noise will go on, and sometimes deepen to a more Err Err Err sound. He shouldn't be bored, threatened...

New chinchilla owner, as of tomorrow when the breeder drops my Pink White chinchilla, Jones, off. Here's the question though: Are metal steps all right for my chinchilla, instead of ramps? They are fairly wide, so he can hop from each one; however, I'm worrying about him slipping.
