Delilah came to me with a cage with plastic shelves, plastic igloo and plastic wheel.
I went to Home Depot today and had them cut some pine shelves for me. Money is tight and this was very economical on $15 for wood and hardware, but unfortunately I am NOT handy so it was a bit of a challenge but after 2 hours of blood and sweat Delilah has pine shelves instead of Plastic ones.
Unfortunately the long top shelf is to high but I stripped 2 of the screws so I can not get the shelf off, it is there to stay.

Do you guys think there are enough shelves? the cage is only 30 x 18 x 30"

I know she needs a new wheel, I am working on it but they are not cheap.
Anyone selling a Chin Surfer let me know!

She also has a fleece set coming with a liner, hut, tube and hammock, so that will fill up the cage more.

Here is her cage before-

And after-
Delilah kept climbing the cage, I think she was nervous with everything being new. Hopefully she gets used to it.

nice set up. I can seee her already loking at the door so I recommend adding an extra clip to it as many chins learn how to open those doors.

she looks very happy with her new set up :)

Thanks guys! Considering I had NO idea what I was doing or even how to set up a chin cage I am happy everyone likes it.

I will definitely clip the doors, thanks for pointing that out!

I also have to say this forum was VERY helpful in figuring it out so thank you!

The after picture is definitely much better than the before picture!! Great job.

As for the permanent shelf--I wouldn't worry you can always put a ledge so she can jump up there if you find she can't reach on her own.

I think once the hut and tube, etc comes in, it'll take care of all the potential spaces in there and you won't need anything else to fill it up.
