Hehe okay, MuShu is so pathetic she's cute, so I thought I'd share some pics!

For those who didn't see my Health post, MuShu has some mysterious lumps on each side of her in the general vicinity of her upper teats, and we're not sure why. So the vet thought perhaps she was doing it to herself, and as a result, she's on an anti-inflammatory as well as antibiotics. On top of that she gets this cone. Poor thing!

She pushed the cone back, instead of like a satellite, but it seems to work better for her. Although she still can't hop very well!

Here she is in all her glory

Then her and her buddy Keiki (they seem much happier now that they're reunited, and Keiki realizes the cone isn't there to attack her lol)

And cute little Keiki
"Hiiiiiiiiiii"

You're allowed to laugh at MuShu, I won't tell.

Although I was telling my fiance today that I think MuShu is going to go through withdrawals when she's done with the meds, she's always begging for more! I think she's addicted..

HAHA look at the expression on Keiki's face looking at MuShu! As if to say, "What in the WORLD are you WEARING?!"

Aww, poor girl! It's too bad the lumps are probably high enough that she wouldn't be able to wear the cone as a skirt... that's what worked best for Koko when he broke his leg (or a kilt, in his case ;))). At least she's taking her meds well! Hope she heals up soon!

Keiki's expression in the 3rd pic... priceless

Yeah, they're like right under her armpits, and I think I'd rather not try and retie on the cone unless I have to!

They're in a pretty small cage though, so she doesn't have to move far really. I keep giving them a new chew toy each day to keep them from getting bored since I feel bad about the small cage.

Aw, poor baby, although I did like the pic of her from the other thread where she looked like little bo peep. :p I hope those lumps go away soon and that she heals quickly!

 I can't help but to laugh! Especially at that picture of Keiki in the background! She's just like "Uhhhhh....."

these pics are wayyy too cute. and yes, im laughing at MuShu! but so is keiki so im not alone. lol

awww poor baby!! At least its a much nicer cone than the ones my Baby J and Poppy were forced to wear after their surgeries....

Hope MuShu gets better soon. Chinny kisses from my girls coming her way xxxxx

oh that NOSE! sooo cute! Hope everything goes back to normal!

awwww. they are both beautiful chins. that is a nice one though, the ones that dogs usually wear are clear plastic, at least this one has a soft protector.

lol that is so cute and sad at the same time. I had no idea they had those for chinchillas. How did they put it on?

They just slipped it over her head, it's flexible and some sort of fabric. Then it ties at the neck. At first they didn't tie it tight enough and she got her paw into it, but then they fixed it and tied it tighter. So far so good!

Tuesday will have been 2 weeks and I'll see how it looks then. If I think she'll mess with it, then she needs to keep the cone on longer. I think she's kind of gotten used to it though. But sometimes I feel bad for her because I can tell she's trying to grab onto a stick or something, but she can't because it covers her front paws.

It looks like the same kind of cone they used for my cat when he got his leg amputated, just much smaller of course.

She looks so adorable in the cone. :p I feel bad for thinking it.
