Spring Latches?

One of my coworkers sons has a guina pig (Ernie!) who sometimes escapes from his cage. I THOUGHT I had heard of people buying spring latches for their chin cages.

So, can you buy spring latches on their own? I'd like to point my coworker in the right direction. Thanks!
