I'm getting a hedgie in 5 weeks (1 month and 6 days to be exact)
and I went to Petco today just to look around and start getting ideas and prices. Tomorrow I'm going to a different store.

i saw the cutest little bedding but not sure if it will be good for a hedgie and found the cutest carrying case for $9.99

(This is the coolest carrying case i have seen. I want to get it to to transport my hedgie to places.I want the blue one)

I have a similar carrier for my chinchilla (in a hideous rainbow rodent print) that really wasn't worth the money I spent on it. It's not all that sturdy, and it's hard to control the temperature, though it might be easier to keep warm for a hedgie than cool for a chinnie. Just a customer review from the other side of the forum. :)

That bed is pretty small.

This is the carrier I use. In cold weather I heat up a Snuggle Safe and put it under a few layers of fleece or towel. It keeps everyone toasty warm. Since it's a hard sided carrier, you can also seat belt it in the car.

we have the same type of case on beds and toys think about a couple things strings corners and cleaning i promise you that once you find something that looks nice that your hedgie is going to think it is too clean and dirty it all up with anything that is fabric you got to watch out for strings they can cause damage to your hedgie big time getting wrapped around the feet and such. good luck

I have the same carrier and I like it quite a bit. I put a fleece blankie in the bottom and we are good to go. I have a microwave heating pad that fits perfectly for cold weather. You can get a little cage that you can put inside of it to make it stronger if you would like. I found them right by the carrier. I can't find it on the website but it looks close to this one. http://www.petco.com/product/11496/PETCO-Small-Animal-and-Bird-Carriers.aspx
