malo & furchewing

I just had do take my most resent rescue to the vet to be pts for malo yest and was looking through my records. This was my 23rd malo chin since starting rescuing. I also noticed that out of those 23, that 18 of them were furchewers. Is there any way the issues could be related or is that just how my area is 'poorly bred'? I just found it interesting that soo many malo chins where also chewers. I have had 31 furchewers so more than half have come down with malo.

Fur chewing can be brought on by pain and stress, malo chins chew fur, its not uncommon.

Not to mention that chins will fur chew if they are malnourished since they can't eat enough and get the nutrients they need from their food.
