I ordered some plain loofa for my chins, and I was wondering how to flavor it? I wasn't sure what was safe for them, or if I should just leave it plain.

Ive added natural organic mint leaves to the boiled water I use to color loofa with before, making a 'mint tea' seems to work for a more natural flavor

I've always had pretty good success with kool-aid and loofahs. With wood I've found it harder to get a deep stain. A friend suggested adding a tiny bit of vinegar to it, but I've never tried that.

The tea sounds interesting, do the chins seem partial to mint?

To be honest all my girls love mint!
It's a flavor that comes through in life line
It's also the flavoring they add to simethicone (baby gas drops)
Both of which my girls go bananas over!
On occasion I give each of them a small dried mint leaf and it's a favorite.
I only use mint that was grown on my family's organic hobby farm, washed, dried by myself I would NOT use some thing out of a tea bag tho ;)
