My larger black velvet who has a very thick and dense coat seems to be slipping small chunks of fur, as I find it when I clean the cage. It was yesterday and today, just small chunks. When I take him out, there are no bald spots or even thin spots.
He gets a dust bath every 3 days usually.
Over here in Arizona its already getting really warm (No need for a jacket anymore) so I was wondering if he was feeling the warmth and maybe..molting?? I did notice it seem to be thicker this winter because I let the apartment be a lot colder this year
Its about 68-73 in the aparment, depending if it is night or day, and some days are really warm but like today, it rained and it got cooler.
As for his cagemates, I have heard no chasing or anything out of the ordinary.
